Should not forget these 5 Do's & Don'ts of Web Design

Web design is a challenging topic. When building a website, you need to take a number of factors into account. I've put up a list of dos and don'ts that every site designer should keep in mind to make this process easier. The good news is that each of these is a straightforward premise.
Let's go through it...

Do

1. Similar Experience in all devices
Visitors to your website are accessing it through a wide range of gadgets, including desktop or laptop computers, tablets, phones, music players, and even watches. Regardless of the device a visitor uses to access your website, they should have a consistent experience, which is a key component of UX design.

2. Cross Check all the links
When a user clicks a link on the website and is met with a 404 error page, they may feel upset. When users are looking for material, they anticipate every link to lead them in the direction it claims to and without 404 errors or redirecting them to a different page.

3. Ensure clickable elements with clarity
Users can learn how to utilize something by looking at it. Users may be easily misled by visual components that resemble links or buttons but aren't clickable (such as underlined phrases that aren't links or elements with a call-to-action that aren't hyperlinked). Users must understand whether parts of the website contain only static material and which parts may be clicked (or tappable).

4. Design Clear navigation for the use
Usability's foundation is navigation. Keep in mind that if consumers can't navigate your website, it won't matter how wonderful it is. Because of this, your website's navigation should be:
- Simple: Every site should have the simplest structure feasible
-Clear: Navigation options must be self-evident for visitors
-Consistent: The navigation system for the home page should be the same on every page
Create your navigation such that users can easily scan it to find the places they need to go while still getting where they want to go with the fewest number of clicks feasible.

5. The Scanning journey to be made easy
When consumers visit your website, they are more inclined to scan the content fast than to read it all. As a result, if a visitor needs to locate the content or finish a job, they will scan the page until they discover it. And as a designer, you can assist them by creating an effective visual hierarchy. The arrangement or display of items in a way that suggests importance is known as "visual hierarchy" (e.g. where the eyes should focus first, second, etc).

Don't

1.    Too much promotion within the content
Promotions and advertisements may dominate nearby material, obstructing users' ability to complete activities. Not to suggest that consumers automatically disregard anything that appears to be advertising (the phenomenon is known as banner blindness).

2. Hijack Scrolling
When website designers or developers alter the scrollbar to behave differently, this is known as scroll hijacking. This can involve redesigning the scrollbar itself, fixed scroll positions, or animated effects. For many users, hijacked scrolling is one of the most aggravating things since it robs them of control. You should provide the user control over how they browse and navigate a website or user interface while designing one.

3. Use of Blinking Text & ads
Individuals who are susceptible to seizures may experience content that flashes or flickers. Additionally having the potential to cause seizures, it may generally irritate or distract users.

4. Long Content loading time
Visitors that must wait for your website to load will get impatient and may leave if it doesn't load quickly enough for them. Users may be forced to leave a website even if it has a gorgeous loading indication if the loading takes too long.
10 secs is the maximum limit to keep the audience focused on a task.

5. Auto-playing video and Sound
Users are irritated by background films, music, or noises that automatically play. Use these components sparingly and only where necessary and anticipated.
